What is Project Birthday?
party
Project Birthday is meant to be a combination of promoting just causes, increase internet knowledge and protection, and celebrate... me! Support one of four organizations that support local communities in New York.

You do not have to be tech savy to protect yourself on the internet. Celebrating me means celebrating us all. I want to see us all continue to bring awareness, fight for change, and to protect ourselves in real life and cyber space.

No Facebook? No Problem. Project Birthday is meant to be a combination of promoting just causes, increase internet knowledge and protection, and celebrate... me! Support one of four organizations that support local communities in the New York area.

Donate to a cause

I am tired. Most likely you are too.

This is why I choose to use that tiredness to turn it into creating another space to be heard. I took the time to research and communicate with friends to find locally based organizations that support people that look like me and my loved ones in the communities that I live or spend time in. Check out each one, click on "Learn More" to see more details, and donate to a worthwhile cause!

Protect yourself on the Internet

jamarthedev
The internet is one of my favorite places. You can do just about anything, and it even helped to keep most of us entertained (hopefully continues to do so) during the COVID-19 pandemic. We live our everyday lives through the use of the internet. From checking out bank accounts, paying online bills, keeping us posted on your latest updates on Twitter, or logging online to do your job. Everyday, we may be putting ourselves at a security risk in a time when we cannot afford to let up. There are a ton of resources out there, but today you are going to learn about why every single one of us should have a password manager and a VPN.

If you already have both, congrats! I hope you educate and let others know about why your friends, families, and coworkers should also be in on this.
